Organization of the "Larissa: Working towards a a sustainable city" Information Event on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Hatzigiannio Cultural Center, in the framework of European Mobility Week (September 16-22, 2018).
The European Mobility Week has been established as the most important institution at European level to promote sustainable mobility standards and thus to develop and develop environmental morale. It is an opportunity to highlight the challenges that local communities face in trying to embed environmentally friendly ways of transport for their citizens and to formulate a more sustainable transport strategy in their area.
Multimodal mobility, a priority for European Mobility Week 2018, can only be developed if residents reconsider their mobility habits and stop using their cars as the only means of transport. Walking and cycling are an essential link in the multimodal transport chain and therefore quality infrastructure for residents should be provided.
On the occasion of European Mobility Week 2018, the Municipality of Larissa has implemented a number of actions to promote these goals.
