“Developments & Innovations in Prosthetic & Orthotic Rehabilitation” – Product Presentation Event “EXOPULSE Mollii Suit”

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the Joist Innovation Park (Valtetsiou & Tripoleos), in Larissa, the presentation event of the innovative spasticity management product “EXOPULSE Mollii Suit” will take place, in the context of the latest developments and innovations in Prosthetic and Orthotic Rehabilitation .

The company Efthimioulab, in collaboration with the company Ortholife, introduce the Mollii costume to the public of Central Greece. It is an innovative, non-invasive and drug-free application of electrical stimulation to the entire body for the management of spasticity.

It is suitable for children and adults with spasticity or other forms of movement disorders. Its purpose is to improve the functionality of the user by reducing the unwanted consequences of the respective condition. Unlike many neurostimulation techniques, which only focus on symptomatic muscles, the Exopulse Mollii Suit relieves spasticity and associated pain by stimulating the weakened antagonists of the spastic muscle. This approach helps to reactivate the signals that naturally inhibit hyperreflexive muscle activity, causing the spastic muscles to relax. It concerns patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury.
