“TherMaSheep” project presentation day

The first presentation day of the project was successfully held on Tuesday, November 7, in the local culture exhibition hall of Elassona:
“TherMaSheep: Application of infrared thermography (thermal camera) technologies as a means of rapid diagnosis of subclinical mastitis”.

Specialist professionals analyzed the ways to manage mastitis, the hygiene rules that must be applied in livestock units and the measures that producers must take to prevent and avoid the spread of this disease.
They also analyzed the importance of mastitis diagnosis in the laboratory and urged the producers present to contribute to the results of the project by involving their livestock unit in the individual implementation actions of the project.
The conference was held with the support of the Municipality of Elassona.
The project is implemented and co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) of the European Union and national resources through the Rural Development Program 2014-2020 (RDP) (operation code Μ16ΣΥΝ2-00202).
